I'm not sure what I've done. I went into the settings as instructed and enabled manual mode on my controllers as well as setting the probe type. Issue is in auto mode the pids is outputting even when the liquid temp is way above my set temps. Is there a way to do a factory reset? It's happening on both my hlt/bk so it must be something I've switched . Thanks

The Manual with the default settings is here.

Before you do that, make sure you're not simply in the wrong display mode by pressing the SET button. You may be in manual mode but displaying auto mode.

Another random question I bought some 90degree fittings to connect ball valves to my pump outputs but they don't tighten in the position I need them too. There turned about 30 degrees farther than I need. Would more Teflon tape make them tighten in the correct position?

I wouldn't use more teflon tape than required to get a good seal (no more than what I recommend - about 6 turns). Use a couple of large wrenches and you should be able to get another full turn in.
