So I started a yeast starter on my stir plate yesterday. I need to bump it up to get more yeast ready for a Brandy Wine. Normally I would use my 2L Erlenmeyer Flask to bump up......but it got kicked a few months back on accident and not longer exists. New one arrives tomorrow evening. But being I would like to brew 5 gallons of brandy wine that doesn't help much.
Here's the idea that came to my head and curious if anyone has gone this route:
Dump my 600mL starter (Second Generation yeast) in my Conical and add additional wort to ferment for until Sunday. Then after brewing on Sunday just dump everything on top of the starter at the bottom of the conical...... Seems simple enough just didn't know if anyone was thinking anything I'm not.

I never ended up doing as I stated above, but I'm still curious if anyone has used a conical as a yeast starter before.

I don't see why it wouldn't work, seems perfect for it especially those fast ferments
