So I am having a hard time finding directions for EZ water spreadsheet
My starting water is
Ca=15
Mg=5
Na=2
Cl=3
S04=66
I want to end with Kals recommendation for IPA
Ca=110
Mg=18
Na=16
Cl=49
S04=279

I am confused how I derive the numbers for step 4.
I am using the ingredients for the Torpedo Clone.
Any directions to a guide, or advice would be greatly appreciated.

You start in row 4a and check the boxes for the boil / sparge additions. Enter into the gypsum box approximately 7 grams, the CaCl box 1.7 grams and the MgSO4 box 5 grams. When you do this, you will see row 5 will display the approximate values of minerals. You will also see the Ph displayed. You will need to tweak the values in 4a until you get as close to Kal's numbers. You can adjust the Na value in row 4b ( check the sparge / boil addition box as well ). Once you are close with all of the values in 5, adjust the Ph with Lactic acid to your preferred value.

+1 to what Ben said. Your starting numbers are fairly low so you probably won't have any problems hitting the targets I set out.

Thanks guys. It is working brilliantly now. My issue was actually with excel. It wasn't working correctly with regards to the adjusting sparge water box and maybe a few other things. This morning I am using the computer in my brew room and it doesn't have excel, so I downloaded open office. EZ water is really as easy to use as you claim Kal. My only hang up is getting sodium up. I believe I have read that non-iodized salt will do it, but it isn't listed on the spreadsheet.

Use line 4b and add baking soda. Don't forget to tick the sparge box. You will need to adjust your other salts slightly in 4a when you do the baking soda addition. About 1.2 grams.

Would anyone mind sharing a completed screenshot of the EZ Water Calc for Kal's Munich Helles 116 Recipe using RO water?

(Actually any screenshot of any his recipes would be fine. I just need a point of reference.)

link to recipe here: http://www.theelectricbrewery.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=25442

targets in Kal's recipe for the Munich Helles are:

CA: 50
Mg: 10
Na: 16
Cl: 71
SO4: 70
