I am upgrading my HERMS coil from a 3/8" SS Chiller to a dedicated 1/2" x 50 permanent mounted HE. I purchased a professional coiled model and the individual coils are tight against each other. It appears to me that there will be no or little flow from inside the coil to out and visa versa.
Should I put some sort of spacer between the coils. I can (and will) mount the two bulkhead fittings to force a small amount of separation, but the far side of the coil will still be in contact with each other. I was thinking of weaving some SS wire in and out between the coils and maybe adding a twist or two to force some spacing.
Any thoughts?

I got this same exact coil and when I installed with the compression fittings the tubing did not go all the way into the ferrules but stopped at the first one and didn't insert into the cone shaped one, if that makes sense. I inserted it anyways and tighted it up and pulled on it and it didn't come loose. So I tested it by hooking up a hose with a quick discontect on it and ran water through it and it didn't leak but wondering if it will hold up. Any thoughts?
