Hi,

What would be the best suitable tool to cut the SS Herms coil as the ends are too long so my coil wouldn't be centered if I don't cut the ends...

THanks

Simon

You could probably get a normal plumbers tube cutter to work for just two cuts. Those round blades are replaceable on the good cutters...

That's what I used... Just a tubing cutter that I bought at Lowe's.

Maybe I need new blades, but I found my tubing cutter pinches the tubing more than I like. You can flare it back, and my cutter has the tool for that; but I found a dremel with a cut off wheel makes a nicer cut.

Foomench

I found the same for cutting SS tubing. Most tube cutters are designed for copper, unless you pay $$ for one designed for SS tubing.

Yeah, mine is probably a copper tubing cutter, purchased at the big box home improvement store.

This is the exact one I bought and it worked just fine and I even ended up cutting the ss herms coil at about six times because I didn't want to cut too much off... I DID go slow however only tightening a little bit at a time and it DID take longer than copper however I got a perfect cut.
