Would someone be willing to share their successful Beersmith equipment profile details for their electric brewery setup?
Thanks!

I will have to get back to you on this one when I have a chance. I have built a spreadsheet that I know how all calcs are done, etc... and have been using it to figure out exactly what to put into beersmith to get the expected results which I do get with the spreadsheet. Once I have this completed I will let you know what the beersmith settings are. Drunk

I'd be interested in this as well. I loaded everything into Beersmith last week, and would love to cross check.

I'm not active enough to pm. Can you pm me?
A friend just picked up this system off craigslist, and I figured I'd cheat and get the profile started first.

Post 4 more dummy posts here and then you'll be good. Sorry, we had to do this because spammers were signing up, never posting, and spamming people via PMs.

Lots of dummies in this thread Wink I'm wondering how far off this equipment profile will be if I start with it for my setup... I will be using a 20G blichmann pot & false bottom for the mash tun and 20 gallon "MegaPot 1.2" for the BK and HLT. The MegaPot 1.2s seem to be much heavier duty than the boilermakers so they will absorb more heat. The surface area of the BK wort should be about the same though.

The setup for your equipment profile is based on your mash tun only.

What exactly does this equipment profile do for you in beersmith? (Sorry, I've never used it). Beer Tools Pro which I use has places to enter your equipment profiles for vessels including heat capacities/transfer coefficients, heat sources, and probably a few other things. I've never figured out the point of using them or how they could help.

If you follow my BREW DAY STEP BY STEP article, you won't need any of these equipment profiles as I don't use them myself.

I only use the software for recipe management, and the only things that are system specific are boil off rate and efficiency.
