Whoops. The gypsum was from copying and pasting the recipe layout from another post.

From what I have read, thoroughly toasting all of the coconut until it ls all golden brown helps expel most of the oils and will minimize the head retention issue.

Gonna do a rebrew on this tomorrow. Already have the starter going.
I"m going to leave out the coconut though. It was prevalent in the first 5-6 pints then disipated and I never tasted it again.

Successful brew day. Numbers right on target! OG of 1.055...
Yeast flocculated like hell. English Ale yeast looks like cottage cheese swirling around in the starter. LOL
Everything's in the fermenter now and I'm just awaiting signs of activity on the airlock.
