Beers contains quite a few calories. How do people manage their intake and stay in shape?
Since I started homebrewing, and especially since the kegerator in the basement with beer on tap 24/7, I definitely drink more than I used to. It never used to be a problem for me, but my bike has been out of action for the last 3 months (needs new chain/chainrings), and I've been unwell and unable to cycle, and I see a difference in my size.
Right now, I'll just ski a bit more until the bike is back on the road - there's a lit course 10mins walk from my house (this is Norway!) But failing that,
How do you guys manage the extra calories from drinking beer?

I eat a cliff bar for breakfast and one for lunch each day and a small dinner, then drink the rest of my calories and I stay at a slender 220. I am 6'1" though.

Gym and work although there's been a little less gym this year so far. But, I generally don't have any more than 2-5 beer a week. I'm sure that will change when I have 4 kegs full.

Running after a 2 year old boy is keeping me fit and turning me grey -- with another one on the way!

Such varied responses! I'm surprised no-one's mentioned sex... But I see we're all too busy running after our little ones, and what little energy is left after the daily grind goes into building the brewery. Kal, with the feverish interest in the electric brewery diverting attention from certain martial duties in America and Europe, you could be causing a slowdown in population growth, and an end to the population explosion! Don't they give out Nobel prizes for achievements like that?!

Ha, I have to run 100 miles, just to maintain the love of beer!
That, and surf + mountain bike.
