Guys,
Powered up with Boil Kettle plugged in. First thing, when I switch to BK element on the yellow light flashes and then goes out. Then Volt Meter reads 115Volts, but the element works. It started heating up the water.
Any ideas what might be happening? I was pretty sure everything is wired right. The interlock even works right. Any suggestions where to start would be great. Thanks.

Sounds like only one leg is wired up, is the other hot wired correctly? Did you reverse the hot with neutral somewhere? Did you make your cable? Are the hots on the copper screws or silver screws?

Just thinking, if the elements powered up, and the volt meter shows 110, you must have a hot and neutrel going to the element, not two hots. Start with the cable, then the plug, then the main relay

Ok
First issue solved. Hooked up the back up element light, turn switch and sizzle / smoke. What? Looked at light closer and they sent me 24 volt lights!
So emailed to eBay to get correct ones. Tested power at receptacle and it is pulling 240 volts. So the issue is the volt meter. It is reading 115 volts all the time when power is on even when nothing is plugged in. Is that a useful clue. I will go back to the directions and see if I can figure it out, but any help is appreciated.......24 volt lights, jeez.

Found that I had volt meter's second AC line running to the neutral bus instead of the Boil Kettle coil. Reads 239 now. Just need the new lights and all should be fixed. Thanks for the support and yes, make sure you check the parts.
