I couldn't find a "introduce yourself" forum, so figured this would work.
I'm getting back into brewing after a 15 year hiatus, and because I have the space in my house (and propane anything scares the bejeebus out of me), I have decided to go 100% electrical after countless hours of reading and researching. Obviously this site is a godsend to me.
My initial steps back into AG brewing aren't going to be as fancy and "automated" as the incredible brewery put together here, but as I am designing my initial system, I am doing so with forward-compatibility, so that I can start brewing sooner, rather than later, and as money allows, continuously update and upgrade my system over the next couple years or so so that I have a setup that rivals the one outlined here.
At any rate, thank you so much for this site, and I will happily purchase whatever I can through your affiliate links. Once I get my brewery space cleaned up, repainted, etc., I'll happily start a new topic to document my progress, if there's interest. In the meanwhile, I'll continue to read and absorb not only the "how-to" stuff, but the comments and suggestions from those wiser than me.. and, of course, drool over all the brewery pr0n.
Cheers!
Jon
Edited to add:
PS. In case you're wondering, my avatar is my home Pub, which is a work in progress..

Since I'm taking a break from research and design, I thought I'd share my home pub with you guys.
Before:
After (so far):
Since the above pictures, I've added a pub table under the window and a total of 6 barstools.. 4 at the bar, 2 at the table.
Next step in the pub will be to utilize some PVC antique-look fake copper ceiling tiles over the bar (and getting rid of that overhead light) and finishing up the trim around the bar area.
The rest of the room needs to be painted (including the cathedral ceiling) then everything gets trimmed.
So much to do...

WOW! You did a nice job on the Pub. I can't wait to see your Electric Brewery setup. From the looks of the craftsmanship used on your pub it should be just as nice. Cheers!

Thanks Caster! I would love to build the brewery to match the pub, but copper seems to have gotten rather expensive..
