Used to cover up the large 3" tri-clamp opening on the 3" Tri-Clamp (Tri-Clover) dome lid that can be added to the Brew Bucket stainless steel fermenter. 1/2" tubing or an airlock and #2 stopper fit nicely in the 17mm hole. Comes with a 1/2" hose barb and pressure relief valve. We use a different 90 degree hose barb as space in our fermenting fridges is tight.
